Hasta La Victoria Siempre

In honor of mi gente and all immigrants who have braved seas and crossed rivers to come to America and make it the country it is today I ask all of you to support the nationwide "Day Without an Immigrant" protests taking place tomorrow. We cannot allow the gated (and "hooded") communities of Orange County use their racist intentions to deny our present-day immigrant people the same exact opportunities their ancestors were given when they came unannounced to the shores of this continent from Europe. Show America what happens when its for granted and stepped-on labor force strikes back and shuts down entire industries!

Ya Basta!

Midwest Expansion

Need something to do this weekend? Come on over to Chicago from April 28-30 for a celebration of hip hop in all its glorious forms, featuring a special screening of one of the greatest movies of all time:

Director Charlie Ahearn will be on hand to answer your questions about how you too can rock ridiculous flavor like Fab 5 Freddy. Scooby Doo!

The rest of the events seem pretty dope as well. Sadly, I'll be out of town for pretty much the duration... but if you go, tell 'em Hip Hapa's new Midwest correspondent sent you.
