Diggin' in the Cybercrates: Internet Samples, Volume 6

On the regular, Hip Hapa hooks you into the sites and sounds of the virtual world, offering up samples to help you make the perfect mix of your netsurfing. If you find a gem that needs inclusion, let us know and we'll post it.

This Fall we witness the end of an era for an institution that has brought us great music over the years. Tower Records has announced its closing after 50 plus years of providing music lovers with the finest in vinyl, CDs, videos and magazines. With the closing of all its stores be sure to check out the clearance sale with 15-30% off most merchandise.

Also rumored to be calling it quits this Fall is Japanese pro baseball sensation Shinjo. After 16 years of professional ball the always entertaining Shinjo is said to be contemplating new careers in nude modeling and politics! If you're hoping to catch a last glimpse of this fleet-footed outfielder check out the Japan Series where Shinjo's Nippon Ham Fighters will be facing off against the Chunichi Dragons.

And for those Hapa internet bloggers who worry about their addictions (ahem...) peep this new study from Stanford University.

Lastly, for all you tokers out there it seems that your efforts are not in vain. Apparently the mary-jane is good for you!
